Giving into Cravings.....


As I came home from teaching school today I began to get a headache, (thanks to that wonderful time that comes each month) in years previously my first instinct would have been to grab the ice cream or have a cookie but, it has since changed. So I grabbed a snack sized of Good Sense Chunky Guacamole, a handful of Late Summer Tortilla Chips (9 to be exact) and 4 oz of turkey breast. As I ate this meal of mine I realized how satisified I was and my headache began to subside. I began thinking about that days I would have grab the ice cream versus today with the guacamole. As I began thinking I realized both items had something in it that my body needed, fat. I then, began to think about avocados and if you slice an avocado in half it resembles a women's uterus and it has been found that avocado are an excellent source of fat especially for women. As I learn to listen to my body to what my body is craving I realize in that moment I can meet my macros, eat healthy and still give into my bodies cravings without any guilt.
